Steel Tip and Soft Tip are two separate leagues, each with its own complete set of by-laws. Both official documents are reproduced below, in full and unedited.
STEEL TIP – RULES AND REGULATIONS
Revised: 08-2026
Notes: Singles 501 is a single game format for B division, best 2-3 for A. Singles 301 is the best 2-3 format for all leagues. Singles cricket is a single game format for B division, best 2-3 for A. Cork is for each game in match.
Line ups will be exchanged with both teams, listing players for that match at the same time. The listed player(s) must play in the game, or the points are forfeited for that game.
Teams may add a player, with board approval, before the start of the 7th week. Board approval is necessary and will have the final decision.
THROWING DARTS IN AN UNSPORTSMAN LIKE MANNER WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
A team may consist of 4-8 players. The existing Board must approve all teams and their divisions for fairness. Once a season starts players may only be added with board approval. All added players must pay league dues of $25.00 regardless of the week in which they were added. All players must play a minimum of 6 weeks or 30 matches to be eligible for playoffs. Currently the dues for each player are $25.00 for the season. The dues must be paid by the 2nd Tuesday of the season in full. Failure to pay by this due date will result in loss of any wins and quality points for the team. Teams will be placed in a division based on the belief that they are in that division that best suits them and is decided by the board.
Teams can play with only 2 players, the third and fourth shooters will be a ghost and will forfeit wins. If a game must be postponed for forfeited, it must be approved by the board. If postponed, you must schedule immediately and notify the board of the date/time of make-up games. If both teams are unable to make a decision about the make-up date/time, the requesting team will receive the forfeit. If the entire night is a forfeit, the team that forfeited will receive zero points for that week, the other team will receive 9 points and deemed the winner. Each team will be allowed an emergency player once prior to week 7. This emergency player will only be used to bring the team up to 3 players for the week. If the team has at least 3 players, the emergency player will not be allowed. The emergency player will not be required to pay the league dues. When possible, there will be a "make up" week at the end of each season. That week will give you the opportunity to schedule the missed game(s) during that time. Again both team captains will need to agree to a schedule change and the board will need to be notified immediately. Please remember that this make-up time should only be used when it becomes necessary for reasons that are out of the team's control.
Tie breaker positions will be determined by head-to-head points of games played against each other in the regular season. If still tied, head-to-head total points against the remaining highest seed.
Score keepers must sit and/or stand still, facing the board, when players are at the oche. No leaning, smoking, cell phones (unless for scoring purposes), head gestures or hand movements are allowed while a player is shooting. Please be patient with the score keepers. Score keepers are supplied by both teams, home team has choice of board.
Any dispute between teams not covered by any rules and/or regulations or the interpretation of said rules/regulations will be settled by the board members and their decisions are final.
If both teams during the B, C or D division matches are left with a double one after five (5) attempts to double out, the sixth (6) attempt the players cannot bust. Meaning, both players can use all 3 darts to hit the double one. Rule will be active once both players/teams have made 5 attempts at the double one.
If teams have multiple games left to play by 11:00 pm they may choose to play multiple games at the same time using any open and approved boards.
After all games are played, please take a picture (with iPhone) and text it to Ricky at 985-607-4745. If you do not have an iPhone, ask another member of either your team or the other team to take the picture and send it to Ricky.

Cricket
Match Win — 1 point
The awards will be handed out at the end of the season at the final meeting/payout. If for some reason that is not an option, this may be changed to the beginning of the next season. Currently the awards include High Score, High In, High out, Men & Women, Ton 80, 9 mark and 3 double bulls.
The board members will remain on the active board for one (1) year. If a board member leaves for any reason that position will be filled as soon as possible by requesting each team captain for 1 person's name for nomination and this name must be provided within 2 business days. Once the list is available the league will have a "special vote" to elect someone for that position and that remaining time left in the year. Once per year the league will be given the opportunity to elect/re-elect said board members. First the Captains will be given a nomination sheet for each team. Nomination sheets will have a deadline to provide them to the board. Once a list of nominations is provided, the ballots will be in written form, and a general meeting will be scheduled, and each active league member will be given a ballot for voting. The votes will be tabulated at the meeting, and the newly elected players will be announced at said meeting.
Winners of playoffs that win for more than one season may be considered to move to a different division. This of course may depend on the number of teams in said divisions and is a decision that will be made by the board in order to keep fair play amongst divisions.
Payouts will vary based on the amount of weeks and the amount of teams in each division. The current payouts for the divisions are:
If changes to rules/regulations or specific issues arise, the Secretary will take note of these and depending on the final discussion with all board members, these changes will go into effect at the beginning of the new session. If there is an emergency situation concerning the league the executive board will make the best possible decision for the league and notify the Team Captains immediately.
Stats will be located weekly on our Facebook page. If you find an error and/or issue with a stat, please contact your team captain and have them contact the board for discussion and/or correction.

Line ups will be exchanged with both teams, listing players for that match at the same time. The listed player(s) must play in the game, or the points are forfeited for that game.
Teams may add a player, with board approval, before the start of the 7th week. Board approval is necessary and will have the final decision.

If both teams agree to the error, the board may be backed up to correct the error. However, if a player throws the dart prior to the board changing over, the player will lose that dart and throw the other two darts.
